Bumkins Cloth Diapers

So, I have to admit, I was a little nervous about using cloth diapers.  As we all know, changing diapers isn’t the most pleasant experience and I was worried about leaking and washing and my baby being uncomfortable.  Well, waterproof Bumpkins Cloth Diapers rid me of all of my worries!

When I received the diapers, I was struck by the cuteness.  Disposable diapers do make an effort to be cute, but these really filled the bill.  The patterns on the diapers were adorable!  They’re also free of vinyl, PVC, phthalates and BPA.

I washed them before using them the 1st time and it was easy as pie.  When they dried, they were still super soft.  After using them, same thing.   Washing was not a problem and they were good as new!

When I first put them on my baby girl, I thought they may be too bulky and uncomfortable.  That was not the case!  They were just about the same size as her disposable diapers and even with little baby jeans on, she didn’t have to be self conscious about her butt looking too big!  (to be a baby!)  There was no leaking or anything and I actually forgot I was using the cloth diapers till it came time to change her and I got to see the adorable prints again!  And knowing that it was soft cotton next to her skin made both of us feel even better.

Knowing how great they are for the environment, if you’re on the fence about cloth diapers, or if you’re already a firm believer, try out Bumkins.  They make diapering a pleasure (well, almost…)

  1. I love Bumkins. We started out with a different brand (kissaluvs and bummis wraps) and got a couple of these when our now 3 yo was potty training. With our new baby we found a box of six Bumkins in patterns for less than $100 with liners. My advice to women who want to do cloth is to save $20 a month while pregnant and buy them at the end.

  2. These are great - I do feel a bit guilty about using disposables. These look like a good alternative.

  3. They’re adorable!
We’ve been a cloth using household since the beginning, and have found that the extra “padding” of cloth is really comfy once your baby starts to become a toddler (with the inevitable tumbles)

They’re so easy to use, and so goregous! Hope it’s a fluffy and fun journey for you!
