Counting down the days til the New Year! 2009 is gearing up to be a fabulous year for BabyLuxe {daily} and I hope for you all as well!
We have something to look forward to from the Women’s Entertainment network…Platinum Babies! From the producers of Platinum Weddings, Platinum Babies will introduce viewers to the next exciting chapter on the storybook road to the happily ever after-a world full of adorable babies and the Platinum parents who spare no expense on their soon-to-be delivered little bundles of joy. No luxury is too lavish and no expense is spared in ensuring these little ones have the very best of everything; from diamond encrusted pacifiers and Marie Antoinette themed baby showers, to Hermes diaper bags and custom nurseries by Petit Tresor.
I know some of you BabyLuxe {daily} readers would LOVE a chance at your own episode {or know friends or relatives who fit the bill of what these producers are looking for}, so here’s your chance; to be considered for your own episode, please email casting@filmgarden.net. Include: names, numbers, emails, due date, picture of parent(s), city and appx budget for maternity spending; a brief description of a few high-end elements that make you and your baby “Platinum”. Here’s a bit of what’s to come on Platinum Babies:
Platinum Babies will be there to witness the all-important and extravagant baby showers, such as one New York couple’s recent event held at the Waldorf Astoria and organized by party-planner-to-the-stars Mindy Weiss, with an indulgent gift registry that rivals that of A-list celebrities and includes such over-the-top items as an $88,000 R Class Mercedes Benz (so the nanny can have a suitable car to chauffeur the new baby) and a $2,225 sterling silver piggy bank from Tiffany.
But that’s just the tip of the platinum preparations. Of course, no new family is complete without a world class, elite, Cambridge-educated nanny (who comes with a whopping price tag of 200k a year). Let’s not forget our lucky little one’s education as our parents jockey for entrance into pre-schools so exclusive they have waiting lists of wealthy families and a price tag of close to $3000 a week. That’s not to mention the live-in chef who will help ensure our moms and babies eat only the very best.
Viewers will get a peek at babies’ rooms that might make the designers on Extreme Home Makeover lush. With the world at their fingertips, our pampering parents will call in the likes of Oprah’s personal designer, Nate Berkus, to make sure their little one’s nursery is nothing less than famously fabulous. With hand-carved cribs, 600-count Egyptian cotton linens (a full set of which cost more than most people’s bedroom sets) and truckloads of toys from FAO Schwartz, these nurseries are truly outfitted a little king or queen.
And finally, in each episode, we’ll meet the newest members of our fabulous families, the beautiful little babies that have inspired all these big platinum preparations. These little bundles of joy are born with the very best of everything, including parents willing to spare no expense to ensure they live a truly platinum life.
For the beautiful little babies, gushing new parents and proud parents-to-be on Platinum Babies, platinum is practically required and silver spoons simply won’t do. Let the fairytale begin!
